History of language Chair
The language chair of Mahmud Kashgary Barscani Eastern university was founded in September 2000 and is regarded as a 1st chair subdivision in the university history .
The aims of the chair: the organizing and perfecting the skills and ability for the the practical having a command of Kyrgyz, Russian, English languages in the different spheres of communication: educational, professional, scientific, social, political and in everday life; the analysis of development process of mental and personal potential of the students, their formation and relation to the world, other people and themselves.
During the chair functioning worked on it Doctors of Philology, Professors Omuralieva S.O., Tokoev T.T., Masters of Arabic Philology from Jordan Ziyad Havash, from Egypt Muhammad Ashur, from Syria Omar Shirro, later in 2001-2002 years from the char was separated the chair of the Arabic language as independent.
At the present time the language chair is headed by Candidate of Pholology, Associate Kalandarova J.K. Also at the chair work Candidate of Philology , Professor Karmyshakova Z.S., Candidate of Pedagogy, Associate Professor Asankulova S.S., Associate TashievaJ.K., Petrenko S.P., Tolanov N.A., senior teachers Kadyrbaeva A.T., Sarybaeva S.A., Sagynbaev D.B., Toktorbaeva M.B.

The chair disciplines: the practical courses of Kyrgyz, Russian, English, introduction to linguistics, the basics of linguistics, pedagogy, psycology.
The teaching staff of chair develop the research work, publish scientific articles, manuals, collection of exercises on topical issues of Kyrgyz, Russian, English languages. Also the teachers constantly work on ways of increasing students knowledge level of Kyrgyz, Russian, English languages in our university and make presentations at the international, republican, scientific and practical conferences.
Every year the teaching staff hold the student scientific and practical conferences on language and cultural issues according to the plan of the research work with the students of the university.
The focus of the educational work is paid to instilling moral skills, active student participating in public events of a political nature, the importance is attached to inculcate love for the native language, patriotic education. The teaching staff also hold the literary art events, days and festival of the state languages.
