In the period from 16 to 20 January 2017 Training sessions were held for faculty and staff of the Eastern University.

In the period from 16 to 20 January 2017 for faculty and staff of the Eastern University training sessions on the topic of “ Roadmap to a long horizon of life” were held.
The trainings were divided into three sessions and each session included:
- Session № 1. The conceptual apparatus. Development of a conceptual platform of the 21st century. Types, levels of consciousness and possibilities of each level. Information and knowledge. Knowledge is power, knowledge is changes, knowledge - instability, which to choose? Life in new realities.
- Session № 2. Building an individual roadmap. Abandonment and loneliness, construction of situation. "Quantum Leap" and types of people, basics of longevity and planning roadmap.
- Session № 3. Message to the people of Kyrgyzstan in the next 100 years. Examples of the development of China, India, Japan and the Arab world. Main trends of the Kyrgyz Republic in the economy, ecology, society and politics.
The lecturer was Altynay Karasaeva - Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, lawyer. At the end of the training all the participants received certificates of completion of trainings.
The rector of the Eastern University Almaz Ibraev on behalf of the participants expressed great gratitude to the lecturer A. Karasaeva and handed a letter of gratitude for conducting the trainings.

Summit on the topic “Public Policy” with the participation of high school students was held at Eastern University on January 20, 2017 .

On January 20, 2017 the Eastern University held a summit on the topic:
“Public Policy” with the participation of high school students. The number of participants was more than 75 students.
The rector of the Eastern University Almaz Ibraev opened the summit.
He warmly welcomed the participants and wished them successful and fruitful summit.
Themes of the summit were: "Air pollution", "Human Rights", "Personal growth" and other topics

was nominated with the title “The Best Rector of the year” by the journal “Zhetigen” .

In 2016 the rector of the Eastern University of Mahmud Kashgar- Barskani Almaz Orozakunovich Ibraev was nominated as
“The Best Rector of the year” by the journal “Zhetigen”.
The journal “Zhetigen” was founded five years ago. Sixty editions of the journal were published during this time period.

On December 23 the results of the Intercollegiate Mathematics Competition were announced. The competition was held on December 16 at the Eastern University of Mahmud Kashgari-Barskani.
Along with the students of the Eastern University, students of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn (KNU) and Kyrgyz State University of I. Arabaev (KSUA) also participated in the competition. The winners of the competition were awarded with diplomas and prizes....
